Park Facilities

There’s certainly no need to rough it here at the park. A wide choice of accomodation is complemented by modern spacious amenities, complete with wheelchair facilities, a coin operated laundry and linen hire service. What’s more there’s also free-to-use undercover outdoor areas with dining areas, BBQ’s and recreation activities.

Choose your Beach

Corny Point is blessed with close access to all sorts of beach environments. It’s just a short stroll from the park to safe & sheltered sandy northern beaches yet just a few minutes drive to dramatic ocean cliffs & great surf beaches. So take some towels, shade, sunscreen & refreshments and relax until the shadows grow long.

Surfing

Yorkes is well known for its surf, Daly Head was the first National Surfing Reserve in South Australia and in that area alone it holds over a dozen breaks. Corny Point is home to the magnificent Berry Bay which is one of the best beaches to learn to surf and it always has a wave. For the more experienced surfers, Salmon Hole, Lizards, Dust Hole, Trespassers, Bummies and Spits are all within 15 mins of the Park. Fun at Dust hole with some clay sliding and sand boarding is always a hit with the kids.

Fishing

It doesn’t get any better for fishing than at Corny Point, off the beach or in a boat. Boat launching with a tractor can be done with Charlie for a small fee. Main target species are King George Whiting, Snapper, Garfish, Salmon, Mulloway, Tuna, Kingfish, Yellow Eye Mullet, Sand Whiting, Squid, Salmon Trout, Crayfish, Abalone. Corny Points unique location of facing North into the Spencer Gulf makes for a lot of boat fishing days throughout the year. Just around the lighthouse is the great Southern ocean which provides a whole new array of options.
